Nellie came to us from a breeder with a lot of dogs so she did not receive the normal socializing and interaction to allow her to become a confident, cuddly companion. She has been in a foster home for the past 2 months and is slowly coming around but is still easily spooked. Nellie is fine with other dogs and is not aggressive to people, she just prefers to be left alone and will run away if approached. She enjoys napping in a soft bed or in her crate where she feels safe. Nellie is looking for that special home that understands she will need a lot of time and patience to feel comfortable in her new home. A quiet environment with another dog or two for her to follow and learn how to be a family member from is ideal. Nellie is approximately 2-3 years old and weighs 7 1/2 lbs.
