Heidi was running loose and got hit by a car on Christmas Day, resulting in a bad break to her front leg. Some good samaritans stopped to help her and she joined our rescue to get her medical care and to find a better life. Heidi had surgery to save her leg but a bad infection caused it to have to be amputated weeks later. She has been a trooper through the entire process, enjoying play time, cuddles on the couch and lots of treats. Heidi does well with most other dogs and loves most people; she is more hesitant with men but does warm up to them as well. She is an active, playful girl who would be fine with another friendly dog or as your one and only. She is approximately 2 years old and 50 lbs.
