Dodger loves pets and loves sleeping close by. He always wants to be by my side but I fear that it’s developing into separation anxiety. He seems to not be confident and it seems like he could be so well behaved with somebody who actually can handle him and knows what they’re doing. He loves a good chew and can be an amazing companion for someone someday. Dodger’s previous owner kept him outside in the backyard for the past two years, only filling his water and food. He began hoping their fence and laying in the neighbors grass to cool off, the neighbor threatened to call the police on the owner because of it. Eventually the neighbor called the cops and the owner was forced to either surrender him or put him down. No shelter would take him in so she made one last call for help before she euthanized him, thats when I decided he couldn’t go like that. He is such a sweetheart and just wants cuddles but he isnt very treat motivated and i dont have space to teach him because of how many other animals we have and the heat outside. We need help.
