In desperate need of a forever home.❤️ Prescott Male 9 years old Leonberger/Border Collie mix, 65 lb. Neutered and vaccinated Prescott was rescued from a shelter in Arizona where he had very little chance of being adopted due to his age, anxious disposition and health condition. When he was dropped-off at the animal shelter last September in Prescott, Arizona he was scared, stinky, matted, and very skinny. He is now being cared for by us in Las Vegas. He has been groomed, brought under veterinary care, house trained, taught to sit, lay down, and walk nicely on the leash. Although we know almost nothing about Prescott’s previous nine years, we think he may have been abused, neglected and possibly witnessed domestic violence. He is scared and highly sensitive to any rise in voices' volume or tensions in the home, especially if it resembles arguing or sees somebody crying. Prescott does not like to be left alone for too long, but a little bit is ok. He gets nervous/scared and sometimes a little aggressive towards other dogs. He has a pancreatic insufficiency for which he must take a medicine with his food at every meal for the rest of his life (this was never treated and that's why he was so skinny, he is still recovering and trying to put on weight. The medicine costs about $50 per month). To make up for all this (almost like he knows) he is incredibly affectionate, cuddly, gentle and submissive with humans, very intelligent and obedient and loves to walk with you. He is also a good traveler and will sit quietly in the car for many hours. He should be in a one dog/one-pet family. He needs healing and can only be healed by LOVE. ❤️ So, the kind soul who would adopt him would have to commit to his medical care and to being his constant companion. In return they would receive boundless love, endless cuddles and fierce loyalty.🥰
