BROWNIE

Hi! My Name Is BROWNIE

We are heartbroken! Our two girls have not been getting along and we are needing to rehome our baby Brownie. Brownie is full Boxer, approximately 4 years old & 70 lbs, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and no known health problems. She is mellow, loving and a very sweet girl. We adopted her from a private home approximately a year and a half ago and she has grown into our family and shown her personality. We don't know too much about her past, but we do know she hasn't had any aggression problems, as she has always been with other dogs. Her and our other female Boxer used to be best friends and now can't be together as they will attack each other. Roxie, our other female, was the one who would start the fights initially. They would occasionally get into fights that were easy to break up. In the last 2 months, they have started fighting aggressively and can no longer be together. They fight and it has become hard to break them up and at some point, they have fought for minutes at a time. Brownie used to be pushed around and attacked by Roxie and we assume that she grew tired of the behavior and started to fight back. When they initially started to fight, Roxie would always mess her up and Brownie would never hurt Roxie. Now they both fight back. We have tried to watch for warning signs before they fought, but as soon as they see each other they attack with really no time for us to be able to stop it. They used to fight over food, attention and now it seems like they fight over nothing and it’s getting pretty dangerous for them and our family. We have been trying to find her a home for a little over a month and have not been able to find one. We have also separated both of our dogs, but they have broken out of kennels to fights. We thought that we could try training them with them with shock collars, but unfortunately, our son has become scared and traumatized by the dogs and situation. For everyone's safety, we will have to separate them. We have loved her since we got her and would love for her to go to a good home.
